Texas House and Senate education committee members have been named

February 6, 2015

The Lieutenant Governor and the Speaker of the Texas House recently announced the Committee Chairs and membership of the Senate Education Committee and the House Public Education Committee. We have listed them below.

Both of these committees are critical to reforming public schools in Texas.  They will make decisions that can move us closer to our goal of assuring that every Texas child has access to a high performing public school.

Please make note as to whether you see any of your elected representatives serving on these committees.  During the next few months of the Legislative session we will keep you informed about legislation that is being considered by both these committees, particularly policy initiatives that are being championed by Texans for Education Reform.

We appreciate your commitment to helping our public schools and Texans for Education Reform.

Sincerely,
Julie Linn, President
Texans for Education Reform
